Choosing the right Lake Fork fishing guides for you trip in 2017 can be a very important decision as for your success of the trip. Keep in mind that Christmas is close and a fishing trip makes a great gift. I can send you a gift certificate with the date of the trip TBD and we will fill in the date after Christmas. So as you read about all the lake fork fishing guides that have web sites, look for several things. How long have they been guiding verses the age of the guide. You can tell if they are pretty young but claim they have been guiding for years on the lake. Another thing to look for in choosing one of the lake fork fishing guides if they are always catching big bass. All lake fork fishing guides have slow days on the lake. Weather and cold fronts in the spring will really impact your fishing trip. Cold water will also impact your trip. And just because they are currently fishing tournaments does not make them a good guide. That tells me they fish hard in front of you and run the boat fast. As for the current bass reports I am still catching bass shallow on texas rigged baby brush hogs, small spinner baits, black 4 ” finesse worms and chrome rattle traps. Bass are along the vegetation lines in 1-4 feet of water. The lake is about 3 feet below normal and surface temperatures are in the upper 60’s. Crappie are biting good in the brush piles on minnows and jigs in chartreuse pepper and electric chicken (pink/green) Best depth has been 19-24 feet. Keep in mind that in December you have to keep your first 25 you catch. The big sand bass are showing up now so you can catch a mess of those to take home. Spoons are working the best on main lake points.  Text me for open dates or gift certificate information 940-902-3855. #lakeforkfishingguides #lakeforkguides #lakeforkcrappieguides #lakeforkcrappiefishingguides #lakeforkfishing
