Cold water bass fishing

Cold water bass fishing

Planning a spring bass fishing trip to Lake Fork? Give some thought to using the local knowledge of the lake fork bass fishing guides that work on the lake. Even if you are going to bring your own boat, a day with one of the Lake Fork bass fishing guides (full time guides) can make your trip one of a life time. We will show you patterns that are working for the time period you are coming to the lake and the best baits to catch that bass of a life time.  Bass are hitting a red trap right now along the grass lines which are limited. Another good bait to be throwing is a black/blue jig with a #11 black pork trailer along the creek channels. Throw at all the big stumps and work your jigs slowly. If you are going to be in the Dallas area January 23, 24, & 25, come by the Big Town Mall in Mesquite to the big boat and tackle show. I will be with Sartin Marine talking fishing on Lake Fork and showing you the new Legend bass boats. So check out www.sartinmarine.com for new and used boats. Than starting January 30th through February 8th I will be at the Dallas boat show booth 425. Come by my booth and lets talk some bass fishing or book your spring trip on Lake Fork.

Lake Fork water level did come up about 5 inches with the last rain storms that came through the area a couple days ago. Now the lake level is 7.1 feet below normal. Public boat ramps are still usable, so no problem getting in and out of the lake. If you are thinking about using one of the Lake Fork bass fishing guides, text me 940-902-3855 for open dates.
