Lake Fork fishing with Doug Shampine

Lake Fork fishing with Doug Shampine

This is the time of the year we are all waiting Lake Fork fishing to get real good. The last two nights have been in the upper 20’s and that is not helping us get into the meat of the Lake Fork fishing. But I can tell you I am catching a few bass shallow (3-7 feet) So that means there are a few bass starting to feed and look for that spawning area. I am fishing the upper end of the lake (north end) where the water temperature will warm faster than the lower end. I am looking for the small pocket that is protected from the north wind and a strong south wind and has sun shinning on it for a big part of the day. By the afternoon you can find a 5 or 6 degree difference in the main lake temperature and those small pockets. That means the Lake Fork fishing will be better in those pockets. I am using a couple different baits being the 1/2 oz KVD red trap, black/Blue chatter bait, and a black/blue jig and a #11 port chunk. I am fishing where I can find vegetation or rock areas which will hold heat. I am seeing a little warmer temperatures this week and no freezing nights. If you want to try some February bass fishing text me or call 940-902-3855 for open dates. The March and April dates are going fast so don’t wait too long. The main thing is to get your date reserved before it is booked by some one else. The crappie bite is still slow with the fish mow moving towards their spawning areas also. There was a new Lake Fork white crappie record set last week 3.55 and she had a very big belly on her. So get your Lake Fork fishing date booked and come out and have some fun fishing on Lake Fork. I furnish everything for your trip so lets get going. #lakeforktrophybass #lakeforkbassfishingguides #lakeforkguides #lakeforkfishingguides #lakeforkcrappiefishingguides #lakeforkcrappieguides #lakeforkbassfishingguide #lakeforkcrappiefishingguide #lakeforkfishing
