There are many Lake Fork guides on this lake, some part timers and some full timers. Be sure to ask questions of the Lake Fork Fishing guides you are thinking of hiring. May mean the difference between a trip on Lake Fork or a great day on the water fishing on Lake Fork. Bass fishing has been very tough since last Saturday when we has a series of fronts move through the area. High winds yesterday and today has had me on the side lines watching the weather. On my last day of fishing, bass were being caught on Carolina rig and texas rigged baby brush hogs in green pumpkin. Surface temperature was 58 degrees and the lake is at normal level. Most areas or the mid lake and north are stained. Bass have pulled off the bank and are in 3-6 foot range. We are going to have another strong front move through tonight  and another one Sunday. So the bass fishing will be up and down. Fish very slowly right now. The crappie fishing has also been up and down with crappie moving into the shallow water on the north end of the lake. Best bait has been a electric chicken colored jig and a cork reeled in very slowly. Sand bass are in the creeks. Those of you thinking about using one of the Lake Fork guides for a bass, crappie, sand bass or catfish trip, I fish for all the above. For the crappie, sand bass and catfish trips I use a 22 foot bay boat so I can take larger groups on the water. For the bass trips I use a Legend bass boat. I furnish everything for your trip so just come get in my boat and go fishing. Bring the family and spend some quality time on the water. I am now booking May, June and July dates.
