Fishing on Lake Fork with Doug Shampine DSP Guide Service

Planning on fishing on Lake Fork in August? Here is what is going on early in August. The bass fishing is good if you are on the lake at the crack of dawn. I am throwing a spook, one with a white belly in deeper water. I am fishing by the damn looking for those schooling bass chasing shad. I also have a chrome rattle trap and a Storm swim bait tied on to throw at the schools when they come up. You can also find bass in the shallow water in the flooded grass in the north end of the lake. I am throwing a split shot baby brush hog in watermelon red worked slowly through the grass. I am dipping the tail in Spike-it. The crappie bite has been better this summer than past ones. I have put some more new brush piles out and they are holding crappie. It is amazing how many different kinds of fish I catch in the brush piles. I am using minnows and jigs, so if you want to take home a mess of crappie to eat, need to book your trip soon. The fall season is just around the corner and the weekends book up fast. I furnish everything for your trip, just come get in my boat and go fishing. Text or callĀ  for open dates 940-902-3855.Fishing on Lake Fork will get better and better as we get closer to September. Days are getting shorter and the water will be cooling off. So if you are planning on fishing on Lake Fork give me a call and lets set up your trip for this fall or I am also booking 2018 trips, as its never too early to get the prime fishing dates. My opinion the last 2 weeks or March, April and the first 2 weeks of May are the prime dates to be here. #fishingonlakefork #lakeforkbassfishingguides #lakeforkguides #lakeforkfishingguides #lakeforkcrappiefishingguides #lakeforkcrappieguides
