My Lake Fork fishing report for the last week of Jan is starting to show signs of spring. Yesterday the surface temperature was 45 and the upper ends of the lake slightly stained while the mid lake and lower end clear. For you bass fishermen I threw only a black/blue jig with a #11 black pork chunk and caught several bass on this bait. Bass were between 7 and 14 feet deep and only caught them where there was a east facing road bed or bridge where the sun could hear up the concrete riprap. Bite was light and slow but that is an improvement from there it was. Check my Lake Fork fishing report weekly to find out what the bass are doing. The lake is about 2 feet below normal. No extreme clod weather fronts scheduled to be here in the next 10 days so that is a good thing. Now is the time to book your trip as the early spring dates are now booking up fast and I will be attending the Dallas Boat Expo starting Feb 2nd and running through Feb 11 where I will be booking trips. I furnish everything for you trip so call or text 940-902-3855 for open dates. Or email dous@lakeforktrophybass.com with questions or my open dates. I consider the last 2 weeks of March and early April the prime time to be on the lake and that is when the spawn starts at the north end of the lake. Most guides will not post a weekly Lake Fork fishing report so stay connected with me for the latest on what the bass are doing. Check out my YouTube channel Doug Shampine for Lake Fork videos. For you crappie fishermen I see they are starting to move. The crappie bite is tough right now so now a lot to report but I think there will be in the next 10 days. So get your trip booked for the spring and get in on some great Lake Fork fishing. #lakeforktrophybass.com #lakeforkbassfishingguides #lakeforkfishingguides #lakeforkguides #lakeforkcrappiefishngguides #lakeforkcrappieguides #lakeforkfishing
