Planning on bass and crappie fishing on Lake Fork this year? Call or text 940-902-3855 for my open dates for bass and crappie fishing trips. I have been guiding for 20 years on Fork and furnish everything for your trip so just come get in by boat and go fishing! If you want to send me an email send to doug@lakeforktrophybass.com and do not use the feature on my web site because its not working for some reason. The bass have started to move into some areas of the lake. The bigger females and not on the beds yet but you can catch a few on main lake points and the first secondary point of the bigger pockets. There was a big team tournament on the lake this past weekend and 10.78 pounds won with no overs weighed in. In order to bring a big fish to the scales it must be 24 inches of better to put in your boat. There were 312 teams fishing. I have found bass by throwing a split shot rig using a fluke in watermelon candy red or a centipede in the same color in 2-4 ft of water. Water temperature is 53 with some protected places at 56 with a lot of rain expected tomorrow. Upper end of the lake stained and probably will be more after tomorrow. Other baits working are suspending jerk bait, black/blue jig, a light Carolina rig using a baby brush hog, or weightless senko along the vegetation. As for the crappie a lot of fisherman are fishing the bridges like the 514 and 515 east along with the 2946 as the crappie start to move towards spawning flats. Soon they will show up along the vegetation at the north ends of the lake. A minnow and bobber will work well finding the spawning crappie than you can change to a jig and bobber and reeled slowly back to the boat. If you are interested in a trip contact me and we will get you date set up. #lakeforktrophybass #lakeforkbassfishingguides #lakeforkfishingguides #lakeforkcrappiefishingguides #lakeforkcrappieguides #lakefork #lakeforkbassandcrappiefishing #lakefork #lakeforkguides
