Lake Fork bass fishing is still hot!! This is the time to have a great time doing some great fishing!! Most of the spawn is over except on some of the main lake areas, so the top water bite and frog bite will be starting soon. I am catching bass on Carolina rig, using baby brush hogs, Texas rigged baby brush hogs, black finesse worms in the stained water, and buzz baits. It is also time for the crappie bite to be real good coming in May. I start guiding for crappie in May, so its time to book your trip and take home a mess of very good eating fish. So if you are coming to Fork bass fishing or crappie fishing you will enjoy this time of year on the lake.
The lake is just 1 foot below normal pool which we have not seen in 5 years. This means a lot of grass and willow trees in the water. With all this new cover in the water, you may find you need a guide to show you where and how to catch these fish as they have a lot of new places to hide. The major creeks are now muddy again, especially on the north end of the lake. I make it easy for you to come fishing, just come get in my boat and lets go fishing. I furnish everything for your Fork bass fishing or crappie fishing trips. The crappie move off shore in May and go to the brush piles. I have put out my own piles and we will go fishing around these piles. Not sit under the bridges. So call or text me for open dates either for a Lake Fork bass fishing trip or crappie trip. School will be out soon, so get the kids involved in fishing and you will be glad you did. This could be you holding a nice Lake Fork bass.
