Crappie fishing on Fork is still good and getting better. With the forecast of cooler weather means the lake temperature will continue to drop and the fishing will just keep getting better. I am finding crappie in my brush piles located in 18-26 ft of water and minnows have been the best bait. I have caught a few keepers on a blue ice colored jig also. As the water cools off more, the jig bite will continue to improve.

Check out lakeforkguide1 on twitter or photos on my web page to see some of the client pictures of trips the past couple of weeks. Crappie fishing as well as sand bass, yellow bass and bass fishing will get better as we get into late October and in to November. So you need to consider booking your trip soon or even your 2016 trip while the prime fishing dates are open. Bass fishing is now finally getting better with good numbers of smaller bass showing up along with the bigger bass. My best bait has been a 1/4 oz chrome rattle trap and a weightless watermelon red fluke. Now there is hydrilla growing in the north end of the lake and the bass and shad are holding in the new grass areas. There is a big tournament this weekend so the lake will be busy but this is the last big one and finally we will have the lake to ourselves. So lets set up your crappie fishing trip or bass and have a great day on the lake.

Customer service is my number one goal when booking a trip with me. I furnish everything for your trip and clean your crappie when we are done with the trip. So call me or text me at 940-902-3855 or email me doug@lakeforktrophybass.com for open dates for the fall or spring. If you have not fished before try a crappie fishing trip, you will be glad you did. @lakeforkguide1 #lakeforktrophybass.com
