Crappie and bass fishing on Lake Fork Tx will get started in full swing soon! First we have to get a couple boat shows out of the way and than it will be time to fish. The Dallas boat show starts the last weekend of January and runs through the 9th of Feb. I will have a booth at the show and will be booking 2020 trips for crappie and bass fishing. I have been guiding on Lake Fork for 20 years and furnish everything for your trip so just come get in my boat and go fishing. Call or text 940-902-3855 for open dates. Lake Fork is known for its crappie and bass fishing but the bass fishing usually takes center stage early in the year. The big females start showing up on the deeper flats and areas where the cold north wind will not blow in and keep the water cool or cold. The spawn means warm protected water so look for those areas that have that condition. Bass will move into those areas first and early. I see bass on the beds late March and if our winter has been mild even earlier. I love throwing chatter baits this time of the year or a split shot finesse worm in black. If you can book your bass fishing trip on a week day there will be less boat traffic than if you only can fish on the weekends. As for the crappie they also start looking for those protected warm water banks where they will move in and spawn. I look for areas that are protected from the cold wind but also have vegetation in the water where the crappie will spawn next to it. I use a cork and minnow to fish that shallow water and do very well. If you cannot come visit me at the boat show to book your crappie and bass fishing trip on Lake Fork email me at doug@lakeforktrophybass.com or text or call 940-902-3855 for my open dates. #lakeforktrophybass #lakeforkbassfishingguides #lakeforkcrappiefishingguides #lakeforkguides #lakeforkfishingguides
