Crappie fishing on Fork is really good in November and December! In fact most all the fishing on Fork is good these two months. But the crappie fishing and bass fishing are very good this time of the year. We have finally had some cooler temperatures and that is dropping the water temperature.

The lake level is now normal so our conditions are very good. Minnows have been the best bait for catching crappie, but I expect the jig bite to start any time. Best depth has been 22-26 feet and they are hanging around brush. I am excited about the next couple of years as our spawn was outstanding this past year. Cannot tell you how many little crappie we catch on a trip. Same for the bass. So the future of Lake Fork fishing is very good. I also have a new 22 foot Bay boat which will allow me to take more clients out on a trip. I will be able to handle up to 6 adults on a outing. Keep in mind I also clean your catch so just come to the lake and have a fun day catching fish. Also a fishing trip makes a great Christmas gift. I will send you a gift certificate to give to your loved one on Christmas day.

If your interest is bass fishing, a early morning top water bite has been working using a spook than throwing a chrome rattle trap in the same areas. We have been catching 30-40 fish a day doing this. Also throwing some plastics on a Texas rig and Carolina rig. Best bite has been shallow early and moving deeper later in the day.(14-16 feet) Bass have been holding along creek channels later in the day. Again I furnish very thing for your trip just come get in my bass boat and go fishing. I am booking 2016 fishing trips now so get yours set up before the good dates are already gone. If you need more than one boat for your trip I can also set that up for a group. So if your love is crappie fishing or bass fishing come to Fork and have a great day on the water.
