Now that school is out bring the kids to Lake Fork and have some fun crappie and sand bass fishing. This is a good way to get the kids fishing and keep their interest up catching fish. With good electronics, sand bass can be found on deeper main lake points and deeper humps feeding on the schools of shad. I am finding good crappie in the brush piles that I put out in 18-24 ft of water and the best bait has been minnows.

The best bait for the sand bass has been the Storm swim bait in white. As for the bass they are setting up for their summer patterns on the deeper humps and main lake points and deeper creek channels and looking for the shad schools as they come. As the bass move they can be hard to catch. That is why it is easier to do crappie and sand bass fishing  and catch fish most of the day. The sand bass have grown very big in the lake and it is not uncommon to catch 2 lbers or better, so come and enjoy the crappie and sand bass fishing while it is good!! Consider using my guide service to help you get your mess of fish.
