Lake Fork Fishing for June 2021

It is time to give an update on several things going on in Texas and on Lake Fork. The covid 19 restrictions have been lifted in Texas and wearing a mask is not required. Social distance is not a requirement so lodging and places to eat around the lake are no longer take out only. So time to get your fishing trips booked for 2021 and now booking for 2022. Now for information about Lake Fork fishing. As for the bass, its time to get over to this area and check out the Lake Fork fishing, for bass or crappie. I am still catching bass shallow and I think some of the bass are now just spawning on the main lake. We had a very late spawn this year and some very cold weather all spring which made the spawn later than normal. I am catching bass on frogs early where you find vegetation and shad in the area. Than I am switching to texas rigged baby brush hogs in watermelon magic and dipping the tail. The north end of the is very stained but the bass are still biting. I also thing its time for the brim to spawn so the bass will stay shallow to feed on the brim. So come to Lake Fork and try some Lake Fork fishing this summer and get out of the house. The crappie are also late spawning as some of the crappie we are catching still have eggs so I think they will also spawn in June. Best depth has been 15-20 ft in laydowns and brush piles. Best bait has been monkey milk on a 1/16 oz jig head or minnows. With all the rain we have had this past week the flood gates have been open a lot which makes the bite slow some times.
