Getting close to mid February and Lake Fork fishing is starting to pick up. Bass are moving some and with the forecast of warm weather next week they will move more. If you are looking for the big bite, its time to be on Lake Fork fishing. A rigs, red/chartreuse belly rattle traps, jerk baits and black/blue jigs are catching bass as we speak. I am fishing the 10 foot or water range and as the water warms they will move shallower. You still have time to book your Lake Fork fishing trip and there are a few good dates still open. So call me or text me 940-902-3855 for open dates.
I think spring will be early this year and so will the start of the spawn. The upper ends of the lake are stained above the 515 bridges, But you can catch bass out of the stained water, Areas to be looking at will be in Burch creek to back to the high lines and start fishing towards the back of the arm. In Little Caney start at the boat ramp of Hide Away and work your way north. And check out Glade creek. Crappie are starting to move from deeper water and in a couple more weeks will start to appear in the 10-15 foot range on main lake points.
I will be at the Dallas boat expo starting this coming Friday through Sunday booking trips. Stop by and set you trip up. Than on February 26-28 will be at OK City at the Backwoods hunting and fishing expo booking trips. If you are in the area stop by and set up your Lake Fork fishing trip. Also as a reminder if you are thinking of booking a crappie trip, I now have a 22 foot bay boat to take your group crappie fishing. I can now handle 5 adults on a crappie, sand bass or catfish trip starting in May. So get your group set up to go Lake Fork fishing and I furnish everything for your trip. Just come get in the boat and go fishing!!!
