Shallow being 2-4 feet where ever you can find vegetation growing. The shad will be there and so will be the bass. If you do not see shad in the area pass it by and look for areas with shad. Best baits has been the black finesse worm on a 1/8 oz bullet weight, baby brush hog in watermelon red, 1/4 oz chrome rattle trap, or shallow diving square billed crank bait in shad colors. Numbers are good and the bigger bass are just starting to move into these areas, but we need more cooler weather to drop water temperatures even more. Crappie fishing has been good in 20-24 feet on minnows and jigs in the brush piles. As the water cools off they will be moving to the deeper water. Best color jig has been chartreuse pepper and blue ice. Now as for the big sand bass, just starting to show up on the deeper main lake points and road beds,. December will be a prime time to catch a big mess of these and you will love the fight they put up. Spoons will be the best bait for these big fish!#lakeforktrophybass #lakeforkbassfishingguides #lakeforkguides #lakeforkfishingguides #lakeforkcrappieguides #lakeforkcrappiefishing #lakeforkfishing
