Crappie fishing on Lake Fork has been good when the flood gates are closed. Now that my web site has been over hauled I will be back reporting what the lake is doing and what the fish are doing. We have had a very wet spring and early summer, but the lake is now settled down and the flood gates have been closed for about 2 weeks. This has made the crappie fishing get much better. I am catching crappie in the brush piles I have put out in 22-26 ft of water. The lake surface temperature is 86 degrees. Most of the lake is clear except the upper ends a little stained. I am using jigs and minnows and by best color has been chartreuse pepper on a 1/8 oz jig head. The other color catching crappie is blue ice. I have been guiding on Lake Fork for 20 years so time to book a trip and either catch a big mess to take home or learn to crappie fish. Crappie fishing is a great way to teach the kids to catch fish. So call or text 940-902-3855 for open dates this summer, fall or 2020. Now as for the bass where you find vegetation you will find bait fish and bass. My best bait has been a texas rigged worm (baby brush hog in green pumpkin) or very early a frog over the cover. Later in the day main lake points using baby brush hog on a Carolina rig in 10-18 feet of water. Shad colored crankbaits are also working on the main lake points. Starting to see a few schooling fish showing up so keep a spook or chrome rattle trap tied on in case you see a few blow ups come your way. So now is the time to book your crappie fishing trip or bass trip and have some fun fishing on Lake Fork. #lakeforktrophybass #lakeforkcrappiefishingguides #lakeforkcrappieguides #lakeforkbassfishingguides #lakeforkfishingguides #lakeforkguides #lakeforkcrappiefishing
